It's only fair after she lectured me for taking too long to post a new blog, huh? ;)Kaciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08004544263362462294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-75741675951179178442008-04-02T18:03:00.000-07:002008-04-02T18:03:00.000-07:00Janet, are you there????Janet??? I wanna go TEEEWWWWW!

I suppose, though, that I'll have to settle for going to this great little Mexican restaurant in Eagle River (awesome cheese enchiladas, by the way) with my drop-dead gorgeous husband. I'll be so distraught about missing my buds that I'll probably drink a couple of glasses of the house Sangria, get way too tipsy, and then end up in a compromising situation. Rough life, huh? ;)

Seriously, though--you all have fun, okay? I'm so glad to hear that you're both getting an evening out away from all of the responsibilities, kiddos, etc. You both deserve it!

Love you!Kaciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08004544263362462294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-47016287592711616552008-03-27T19:32:00.000-07:002008-03-27T19:32:00.000-07:00Hey sweetie,I will see you tomorrow. After being blogging buddies, it's always nice to actually speak in person too.

If I don't hear from you, I'll call you. And I couldn't be in your group...anymore, one half a glass of wine (or whine) I'm asleep for at least 12 hours. Does this mean that I'm getting old?Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445335969793696150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-3501021133465227932008-03-27T16:55:00.000-07:002008-03-27T16:55:00.000-07:00LOL! It's a wine-tasting group, and we sit around and eat and talk, too.

I only like white zin and I want to be able to accept a glass of something else and not end up taking it to the bathroom and flushing it down the toilet, like I did not too long ago (the wine, which the pourer assured me would be just to my taste, smelled like dirty feet, I kid you not).

This group is nice. You get 2 samples and they are just samples. No need for me to head to the potty, glass in hand. I like this so if I'm at another shindig and the pourer says, "Well, we're out of white zin but we have a perfectly lovely Smelly Feet," I can rattle off some other kind. So far there's just one. I have the name of it written down in my purse. You don't suppose it would be too, well, weird to pull it out and read it each time, do you? I can't seem to remember what it's called.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just a grape pop person!

And last night I went to Southgate. Lavosh! YUMMMM!

So I'm hammering together a social life. Cool, huh? Tomorrow I get to go out with MISS LISA!!! YES! We are going to a LECTURE! And not from our kids!

And I will make Miss Lisa tell me what's she fixing to write....Janet Spaethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14495937200749703773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-20776341354473964392008-03-27T12:02:00.000-07:002008-03-27T12:02:00.000-07:00Janet? Yoo-hoo!

Lisa, I'm beginning to think that our "clutching hands" were the ones that she smacked away so she'd have time to write. ;)Kaciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08004544263362462294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-18058377900908447932008-03-26T18:02:00.000-07:002008-03-26T18:02:00.000-07:00I must say that you and K help inspire me to want ...I must say that you and K help inspire me to want to write. You are both so brilliant that it has planted seeds in my own head. You need to write. You do so little for yourself---to overextend your metaphor, I would say you need a manicure!

I am feeling the seeds of a story that I want to tell but don't know if I am brave enough to tell it yet...you make me believe that maybe I can!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445335969793696150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980414242150666386.post-36439766231450148732008-03-25T09:47:00.000-07:002008-03-25T09:47:00.000-07:00She most certainly does deserve a front seat! And...She most certainly does deserve a front seat! And if you give her the time and focus that she's earned, she'll be much better at coping with all of those...uh, hands. ;)

I completely identify with where you are right now, though. I've had my own writing simmering on the back burner for so long, and for some reason, the events of the past year have brought her roaring to life. She's ready to write, and now! But she has five more weeks to slog through papers...

On the other hand, the fact that I'm down to five weeks has me invigorated with new spirit. Spring is here, the weather's turning, the days are longer, and I'M GOING TO WRITE! I'm already writing--every free moment (and a few when I should be doing something else), I'm plotting, writing...WRITING!

My muse has risen! How cool is that? ;)Kaciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08004544263362462294noreply@blogger.com
